'Keep Swimming'

The Easter weekend gave me a moment to sit back and re-cap on what life has been like since we last interacted.
The last couple of months have gone by extremely quickly and I've been doing a lot more. More work, more eating, more meetings, more running (around and away), more crying, but also more laughing. I also finally graduated and I guess one could say things are going well.

Have there been challenges? Obviously.
I low-key feel as if I've moved back into the chamber of solitude in the sense that I don't see my friends as much as I'd like to , or even need to for that matter. I've become quite busy , so busy that I don't even have the time to stop when things are, or at least feel, as if they're falling apart. Instead I learnt how to let things go -by force.
In moments when things just aren't working out I have learned to just let things be. This comes as a result of some of my experiences in the current journalism course I'm enrolled in. For example- The first story I pitched for the campus newspaper was well, unsuccessful. Funny enough, I knew very well it was not going to work but this was my first story and I held onto it tight. I held on so tight that I missed the opportunity to cover other things.
Eventually, I realized that even if the story did work out ,it was now old news and so I had to let it go, let it go, let it go.
The fast nature of journalism taught me to keep things moving no matter what and if one door closes, open a window for yourself because there aren't always two doors in a room (and if you're frowning to yourself wondering what is this girl saying, I myself don't know- so much for being philosophical). But, what I mean is that we should always try to keep moving and train ourselves not to clutch onto things that are not working out.
Opportunities are everywhere and if "there are no opportunities", that is an opportunity within itself- CREATE!
The universe re-produces what you put into it. We are responsible for the consequences of every decision. So, it's important to avoid playing the blame game, take accountability for the things that happen in our lives , make changes and move forward.

Like Dory says (and I'm not sure why Disney has influenced this post so much) , but - "“When life gets you down, you know what you gotta do? Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming
Until next time
